About The Role
We're seeking a passionate Benefits Analyst to join our dynamic People team. This pivotal role will manage the day-to-day operations of our comprehensive group benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, leaves of absence, flexible spending accounts, and health savings accounts. Additionally, you'll oversee the administration of our 401(k) plan.
Your Impact
- Monitor and manage all aspects of file processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and company policies
- Manage and configure the Human Resources Information System for efficient benefits administration and accurate reporting
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries, providing exceptional support and educating employees on available benefits
- Document and continuously improve administrative procedures, partnering with HR and finance teams on benefits-related initiatives
- Maintain effective communication with benefits vendors, internal departments, and employees for seamless administration
- Oversee the planning, communication, and execution of the annual open enrollment process
- Manage relationships with benefits vendors, brokers, and advisors, ensuring high-quality service delivery and negotiating contracts
- Reconcile monthly benefits invoices, conduct regular audits, and resolve any discrepancies for accurate billing
- Conduct regular 401(k) audits, manage discrimination testing, ensure compliance, and assist with required reports and filings
Your Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Benefits Analyst or similar role
- Advanced knowledge of relevant benefits laws (HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA, ACA, FMLA, DOL, and IRS guidelines)
- Proficiency in day-to-day benefits and 401(k) administration, leaves of absence, and parental leaves
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to adjust strategies based on outcomes
- Exceptional multitasking abilities to navigate multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with G-Suite (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets) and advanced Excel proficiency
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience (preferred)
- A strong work ethic with a proactive approach to following up on employee issues
